On Friday morning, the Florida Panthers officially took the ice for the first time to start their training camp. The team was in Sunrise on Thursday for physicals, but Friday marked the beginning of the two day workouts prior to their first preseason game Sunday.

While the team didn’t take the ice during the first day of the 2015-16 season’s training camp, Wednesday marked the team’s media day for the Florida Panthers. On top of the early-morning signing of forward Jonathan Huberdeau, the team’s strong nucleus of forwards, defensemen, and front office staff commented on training camp and the upcoming season.

On Wednesday morning, the Florida Panthers announced that they have inked 2015 first-round pick F Lawson Crouse to an ELC. In addition, the club announced that they have re-signed D Alex Petrovic, F Quinton Howden, and F John McFarland to new contracts. 2015 Calder Cup Playoffs: San Antonio Rampage Give Up 3-0 Lead, Lose 4-3 In Overtime

After holding a 3-0 lead throughout the first half of the game, the Rampage fell back down to Earth with a 4-3 overtime loss to the Oklahoma City Barons. The Rampage gave up three power-play goals on Saturday night, and that ended up being the difference in the game.
